Oasis Academy Hadley is seeking a talented, values-driven Assistant Principal to join our Academy Leadership Team. This is a rare opportunity to join an exceptional all-through academy (ages 2–19).

About the role
As Assistant Principal, you will be a key member of the Academy Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership for whole-academy priorities and helping to secure the highest standards of education, teaching, learning and outcomes across both phases of the academy.
This role is not phase-specific and we welcome leaders who are Primary or Secondary trained, but please be aware it is likely the successful candidate will have a focus on Secondary.
Our priority is that the successful candidate has a proven track record of improving outcomes, strengthening curriculum and pedagogy, and building leadership capacity through collaboration, coaching and high-quality professional development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting ambitious expectations and stretching targets that contribute significantly to academy improvement
- Using assessment and performance data to evaluate progress, identify underperformance and implement impactful interventions
- Raising the quality of teaching and learning through monitoring, coaching, mentoring and evidence-informed practice
- Leading change effectively and contributing to the Academy Improvement Plan, self-evaluation and whole-school development
- Line managing and developing staff, promoting a culture of professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Promoting high standards of behaviour, personal development and wellbeing for all students
- Building strong partnerships with the wider community
What we’re looking for
- Successful teaching track record with evidence of strong practice
- Leadership experience in a school/academy and a proven impact on raising achievement
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and confident use of assessment to drive improvement
- Ability to motivate, challenge and support staff and students; excellent communication and teamwork
- A reflective, resilient leader with a clear commitment to safeguarding and the Oasis ethos
